When I was in Toronto I went out with Gita and her friend Rosalie and a bunch of gurukulis for Rosalie's birthday. Was really fun. It was a very new club in an industrial section of Toronto. It was the top floor of a building, almost like the roof. Glass walls with a giant balcony surrounding and when you went out on the balcony you could see downtown Toronto across the bay. Gita arranged for a birthday cake to be brought out after we got there. It was very cute. Oh, so here are some pictures of that night. If you know who Gita is you'll see she's in a few pics. And if you can recognize me I'm in a picture about a third of the way down in the far right column.

Re: Rathayatra Festival
Hi Erica,I guess I can tell you... the Rathayatra Parade and Festival is on Belle Isle. The Parade starts at 11. If you go over the bridge to the island, turn right as you get on the island and you should see a large group of people with Ratha carts set up not too far after that. If you decide to come after 11 am (the parade should be over by 2 or 3 pm), drive around the edge of the island, water-side, and you should come across a group of large colorful tents - that is the festival! It will go on til sunset - 7 or 8 pm? If you see me say hi!

Do you know where Gita got the cake from? I have a friend in Toronto who does cakes and she gets a lot of requests for eggless cakes and she would like to be able to refer people to someone who does.
